The Airbus A380 is a great aircraft – one that pushes aviation technical achievements to another level. Unfortunately, it has had a string of problems. Four engines have fallen out of favor, as has the hub and spoke operating model to some extent. Airlines have struggled to make a small fleet work. It is too large for many airports, and it doesn’t work for cargo. There is another problem too. It is too quiet. Not on the ground but for pilots.
