In a bid to utilize airport capacity better, India’s civil aviation ministry is reportedly considering reviewing slot utilization at more frequent intervals. The country’s expanding aviation sector has meant that some of the more constrained airports have pretty much all of their prime slots booked. The authorities want to ensure they are being utilized properly instead of being hoarded by carriers for better times.
