European Parliament has announced a decision on the slot rules to be reinstated later this month. All European Union (EU) airports will have to comply with a 75/25 slot rule beginning October 30th. The regulation aims to promote a healthy air travel economy as airlines are encouraged to utilize more of their airport slots. The rule was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic as air travel reached record lows. In the wake of strong recovery, the EU has reinstated this amended rule.
