Qatar Airways has started flying to Düsseldorf. It had expected to launch the route in the summer, but it was pushed to winter. It has materialized in part because of the EU-Qatar open skies agreement signed late last year, although full access won't happen until 2024. It comes less than a week before the World Cup begins.
