Alaska Airlines announced on Wednesday it would be exercising options to purchase 52 Boeing 737 MAX jets – constituting the airline's biggest aircraft order in its 90 years of operations. Deliveries will take place between 2024 and 2027 and will take the Alaska Airlines MAX fleet from a planned 94 to 146 aircraft. The order includes aircraft from the entire 737 MAX family – 737-8, 737-9, and the yet-to-be-certified 737-10.
