The minister quelled talks of the airline undergoing difficulties and setbacks through its restructuring. This announcement comes as the airline is set to dismiss over 500 employees throughout the coming weeks and months. The restructuring process has left the airline's future uncertain, but Caruana assures the public that everything is going according to plan. He also reaffirmed that any employees wishing to leave would be given the pay guarantee the airline promised its employees. The European Commission continues to undergo talks about dismantling the airline altogether.
