Servicio Aéreo de Honduras S.A. (SAHSA) was the Honduran flag carrier from 1945 to 1994. The airline was owned jointly by Pan American World Airways (Pan Am), the Honduran government and private investors. In November 1991, SAHSA merged with its partner airline, Transportes Aéreos Nacionales, and adopted the name TAN-SAHSA until 1994, when the newly merged airline ceased all operations. This was due to a combination of excessive corruption and multiple fatal accidents, which led to financial difficulties.
