After the retirement of the KLM Boeing 747-200M (PH-BUK) in November 2003, the jumbo-jet was acquired by the Aviodrome Aviation Museum in Lelystad, Netherlands. Since the Boeing 747 was too large to fly to the Lelystad airport (LES), the aircraft was partially dismantled and transported by a barge.
