American Airlines has announced an investment in a hydrogen distribution and logistics company Universal Hydrogen Co. This latest investment is a part of the airline's plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2035, putting it on track to reach its asperous goal of reaching carbon-neutral status by 2050. The airline plans to fuel regional jets on partial hydrogen power by 2025. Later in the decade, it anticipates that it will be ready to begin fueling larger aircraft with hydrogen.
