Kenya Airways increased its revenue by 76% in the first half of 2022 compared to the first half of 2021. Operating costs also rose by 53% for the same period—the increase in revenue resulted from higher ticket sales and fares. The airline saw an 85% increase in passengers during this period. It also reported a 15% decrease in pre-tax losses. The airline is looking to cut leasing costs on its jets so that by 2024 the airline can break even.
