While the 737 first entered Delta's fleet nearly 39 years ago in 1983, the 737-700 series was never an essential part of the operation. Delta operated just 10 B737-700s in total, all delivered in 2008 and 2009. Like other aircraft, all were retired as part of the SkyTeam carrier's fleet rationalization brought about by COVID.
